Kingoff’s Jewelers was founded in 1919 by my grandfather and his brothers. An enduring landmark in downtown Wilmington, NC, the Kingoff’s clock is a tribute to my father, Bill Kingoff, who remained active in the day-to-day operations of our business for over 50 years. Our stores maintain my father’s and grandfather’s vision and core values: “A local jewelry store should serve its community.”

I, personally, travel to all major trade shows and continue to expand my education, as a jeweler, by attending yearly industry classes. It is my mission to build upon my family’s 98 years of service by continuing to deliver the ‘jewelry store experience’, so well-crafted by my father and grandfather before me; while staying up-to-date with all of the current jewelry trends.

Kingoff’s Jewelers – Michael Kingoff, Gemologist.
Michael Kingoff is a 1985 Graduate of the University of Georgia at Athens. He is a Guild Gemologist of the Diamond Council of America and third-generation Jeweler. Michael is active in community service and fundraising in Cape Fear Region.
Janice Kingoff started her tenure at Kingoff’s Jewelers in 1958, specializing in Silver Estate Appraisals and fine gift ware. She graduated from UNCW in 1977 and was recognized as UNCW Alumni of the Year in 1997. Janice is a community activist for numerous charities, organizations and foundations.
Ben Kingoff founded Kingoff’s Jewelers in 1919. A Russian immigrant who came to the US as a child, served in the US Army during WWI, and started a trusted business which would support four generations of his family.
William Kingoff worked full-time for 60 years at the Kingoff’s location on Front Street until he passed in 2006. He was a great supporter of downtown Wilmington. Wilmington Downtown Inc. presents an annual achievement award which is named for him. He was very active in the community; having been the President of the Downtown Wilmington Association and the Wilmington Merchants Association.
